    A Transport Canada licensed Aircraft Maintenance Organization responsible for all the maintenance that is carried out on TRK Helicopters’ fleet of light, intermediate and medium helicopters.

    TRK Aviation employs a team of highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, as well as a select few apprentices working towards becoming a licensed AME.

    The partnership between TRK Helicopters and TRK Aviation provides an incredible operational advantage as aircraft maintenance and repairs can be completed effectively and efficiently by a knowledgeable and experienced in-house team.

    By reducing reliance on 3rd party maintenance providers, it allows TRK to carry out scheduled maintenance with out delay and reduces downtime during critical operations.

OUR HISTORY

In 1996, Randy Marks, the President and founder of TRK Engineering Ltd. recognized a need for a specialized multi-disciplined engineering firm in the wireless communication field. As a practicing professional engineer himself since 1994, Randy brought together the best talent available and formed a team to meet the challenges of this industry. Specializing in wireless communication infrastructure, TRK Engineering quickly became a leader in the industry, providing state-of-the-art technical designs that were both innovative and cost-effective.

After over a decade of proven success in the industry, TRK Engineering expanded into the construction sector of telecommunications with the introduction of TRK Connect. Since 2014, TRK Connect has provided tower erection, installation and maintenance services to Canada’s largest cellular, broadband and digital data providers. The exceptional ability to provide a wholistic and comprehensive understanding of both telecommunication design and implementation is what sets TRK apart from its competitors.

The evolution of TRK’s induction into the aviation industry also developed organically after Randy’s passion for rotary wing aircraft lead to yet another opportunity! It was in 2003 that Randy secured his Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License which naturally progressed into the inauguration of TRK Helicopters a year later. Later in 2004, TRK also welcomed the addition of TRK Aviation Ltd., a Transport Canada licensed Aircraft Maintenance Organization responsible for all the maintenance that is carried out on TRK Helicopter’s fleet.

Over the past 20 years TRK Helicopters & TRK Aviation have experienced incredible growth and expansion. What started as a small operation with just a few helicopters has now become a major player in the industry, with multiple bases throughout BC, Alberta and the Yukon. TRK Helicopters has also diversified its range of services with the addition of multiple light, intermediate and medium type aircraft, for a total of 14 helicopters in its impressive fleet.

At present day TRK Helicopters is a proud partner of multiple Provincial Wildfire Suppression organizations throughout Western Canada and holds local forest operator status in Merritt (BC), Lac La Biche (AB) and High Level (AB). TRK Helicopters has also humbly accepted multiple accolades from several Provincial Ministry representatives for our continued involvement in emergency relief efforts such as the Hemlock Mountain Road washout in 2020 and the devastating flooding of Hope, BC in 2021.
